Very Wide Range Tunable CMOS/Bipolar Current Mirrors with Voltage Clamped Input
In low power current mode signal processing circuits it is many times required to use current mirrors to replicate and amplify/attenuate current signals, and to clamp the voltage of nodes with high parasitic capacitances so that the smallest currents do not introduce unacceptable delays. The use of tunable active-input current mirrors would meet both requirements. In conventional active input c...
متن کاملTunable current mirrors for ultra low voltage
Simple ultra low-voltage floating-gate current scaling and level shifting circuits are presented. The current scaling and level shifting are accomplished using only minimum transistors and floating capacitors. The circuits are extremely small compared to a standard approach to current scaling. Measured results are provided.
متن کاملOn the Design of Linearly Tunable Wide Input Voltage Range CMOS OTA and Its Application
In this paper, a CMOS OTA with a wide input voltage range and linearly tunable transconductance gain (gm) is presented. To achieve the linear control of transconductance, the bias current (IB) is squared by using the current squarer circuit before applying it into the main CMOS OTA. In addition, the source degeneration technique is used to extend the input voltage range. The frequency response ...
متن کاملDynamic Range of Low-Voltage Cascode Current Mirrors
Low-voltage cascode current mirrors are reviewed with respect to the design limitations imposed if all transistors in the mirror are required to operate in the saturation region. It is found that both a lower limit and an upper limit exist for the cascode transistor bias voltage. Further, the use of a signal dependent cascode bias voltage is discussed and a selfbiased cascode configuration is p...
متن کاملWide-Dynamic-Range and High-Sensitivity Current-to-Voltage Converters
A wide dynamic range and a high sensitivity are often incompatible with each other in analog circuits, such as signal converters or amplifiers. In this paper, we present a method of developing current-to-voltage converters featuring both. It comprises two current-to-voltage conversions. One is to convert the DC component, i.e. the average level of the current input, into a voltage with a nonlin...
